Assessment and Individual Therapy
Confidentiality & Safety
Individual Therapy, also known as counseling or psychotherapy in our field, takes place within the relationship we build with each other. I will provide an assessment, diagnosis, and plan for your treatment. It is a specialized, confidential relationship where you can explore thoughts, behaviors, and your unique life experiences freely. If I am ever concerned about the physical safety of you or someone you know, I usually will work with you to maintain your and/or their safety. I am bound by the State of Massachusetts to provide ethical treatment and to treat you with the utmost respect and care in a confidential setting. If you and I believe our therapeutic relationship is not the best fit, I can certainly provide referrals within the Boston area. I also can make recommendations to doctors, dietitians, and services locally.
Specialty Practice
Boston is a premiere location for health care and education. It is a city of learning, thus I've worked with many students, interns, and residents in and around Boston. I have been employed within an eating disorder treatment center, local university and LGBT health center. I have presented at universities and health centers regarding eating disorders, mental health, and higher level of care treatment. I have also supervised and trained other clinicians in our field. I spent the majority of my professional career working with students and those with eating issues. I have training and professional experience with trauma, self-harm, anxiety, depression, and LGBT issues. I have worked with many families as well who have a loved one struggling with their mental health and can help support caregivers and parents. I have specialty certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Informed Care. After the initial 1-2 assessment sessions, we can begin treatment planning and continue to work on individualized goals.
Logistics and Payment
Individual Therapy - $155 per appointment
Sessions are 45-50 minutes and are expected to begin and end on time
Sessions are provided via telehealth, preferably Zoom
Weekly to Biweekly Appointments offered
Missed appointments without 24 hour notice will be subject to charge of full session fee
Payment is expected at time services are rendered
Sliding Scale is available
I am working to become credentialed with insurance companies
Currently In Network with CIGNA, AETNA & BCBS
